What is a service address ?
From October 1st 2009 there are new rules
on protecting directors’ residential addresses The new rules under sections 240 to 246 of the Companies Act will protect directors who are individuals from having their usual residential addresses
disclosed to the public. This will be known as ‘protected information’. Directors will also be able to file
a service address for each directorship. The Service address will be on the public register and the residential address will
be on a private register only available to certain specified organisations. Pip It Up Ltd will only use your residential address
- To communicate directly with you as a Director.
- In order to file and send information to Companies House on your behalf.
- To comply with a Court Order.
- With your permission as a Director
Companies House will only use the residential address:- - To communicate themselves with you as a Director.
- For supplying to a public authority specified by regulations made by the Secretary of State such as the Police or
HMRC.
- For allowing credit reference agencies to vet applications for
credit and to meet the obligations of the Money Laundering Regulations
